Nix Enjoys Visit

Pittsburgh will be expecting a number of its incoming freshman class to contribute immediately. According to Nate Nix he is one of the players that are expected to make an immediate impact. Nix took his official visit this weekend.

Nate Nix the all-everything linebacker from Thomas Jefferson High in Jefferson Hills, Pa., took his official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend. He was hosted by another former WPIAL star.

"I was hosted by Craig Bokor he was a great host, he had some studying to do Friday but he was with me Saturday. When he wasn't there I hung out with the McKillop brothers," Nix said. "It was a great trip I got a chance to check out the campus and some things that I haven't gotten to see before."

Just as most of the recruits in this Pittsburgh class have stated that there is a family feel amongst the recruits, Nix reiterated that point.

"I got to meet some kids who I haven't before like Joe Thomas from Ohio. We got real close and exchanged numbers and stuff. It just feels like a family everyone is pretty close."

Expectations with this highly touted class will be high and Nix is ready for the challenge.

"They want me to be familiar with the defense and the scheme. They expect me to come in and play and I expect to be ready for the challenge."
