Pinkston Feels No Pressure

Obviously being considered by most as one of the key components in one of the most highly touted recruiting classes in a programs history would be considered a pressure packed situation for an 18 year old. Most 18 year olds however are not quite as mature as Jason Pinkston.

While most young men bide their time by roaming the streets or callusing their thumbs while playing video games Jason Pinkston spends his spare time in the local fire hall volunteering as a junior firefighter.

"It's just something I enjoy," Pinkston said.

Pinkston also enjoys creating havoc in opponent's backfields. This year the four-star defensive tackle tallied 80 tackles, 5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and had 2 blocked field Goals. Baldwin lost another of its stars Justin Hargrove early in the season which allowed most teams to double and sometimes triple team the 6-foot-4, 270 pound standout.

Pinkston recently took his official visit to Pittsburgh.

"It was real nice, I had a lot of fun," Pinkston said. I was hosted by Darrelle Revis and I got to meet all the players. I kind of just hung out with Dorin Dickerson, Justin (Hargrove), Kevin (Collier), and (Eric) Rodemoyer. They showed us a highlight film of all the commitments,"

As far as there being any pressure on Pinkston, with high expectations for this current class it would not be surprising to hear any young teenager be a little concerned.

"I don't really think there's any pressure. They expect us to play right away and I'm up for the challenge."
