Nix discusses the Future

Last Wednesday, the University of Pittsburgh signed arguably their best class in 20 years. Nate Nix is expected to be a key member of this incoming Panther class and he is ready to meet and exceed those expectations.

National signing day could not come fast enough for Nate Nix a standout 6-foot-3, 215 pound, linebacker from Thomas Jefferson High in Jefferson Hills, Pa.,

"It's a relief, to finally sign and get it out of the way and move on," Nix said.

Expectations will be high for a class that is currently ranked No. 11 in the nation according to Nix doesn't mind the extra added pressure.

"I hope expectations are high," he said. "I feel that if I go in there and bust my ass, we can put the program back on top."

As is the case with most of the Panther's incoming class, nix has noticed how tight they have already become.

"I'm already close with everyone," said the All-State linebacker. "The past couple of week's we've become real close and we're already a team."

Nix, like most of his future teammates is scheduled to begin classes in June and the talented backer is looking forward to his future on the panther's defense. "I'll be starting classes on June 19th," he said. "I'll be playing the will linebacker spot."

Thomas Jefferson has a talented group of rising juniors and Nix plans on trying to recruit them to join him at Pittsburgh.

"Absolutely, those guys are great athletes. I'd love to see them there with me."
