Gage registered 52 tackles (31 solo) and 5 interceptions last season. He has been a two-year starter at safety. Stefan is capable of running a 4.55 forty-yard dash and bench pressing 240 pounds.

Gage was hoping to attend the Panthers' junior day but he has a basketball game scheduled on the same day. He assumed the PantherDigest.com that he will attend Pitt's summer football camp.
When asked to describe his strengths, he stated, "I play with great intensity and I'm a leader on and off the field. I'm the type of player people look up to. I love to hit. I take pride in hitting hard and being an intimidator on the field."
