Florida RB likes Wannstedt

University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dave Wannstedt hasn't been shy about his fondness for running the ball. He is perpetually searching for quality running backs. It appears that a running back from Florida currently has the Panthers at the top of his list.

"I'm looking at a number of schools right now, but I would list Pitt, Notre Dame, Alabama, Minnesota and Georgia Tech as my top schools," stated bruising running back Zacchaeus Brown (5-ft-11 inches, 200 pounds) from Royal Palm High School in Royal Palm Beach, FL.

"If I had to pick a top school, I would say Pitt. I watched Coach Wannstedt down here in Florida when he coached the Miami Dolphins. I always liked him when he was there. He likes to run the ball and he seems like a cool person. He has professional experience and he knows what it takes to get to the next level."

Brown rushed for 650 yards on 83 carries as a junior. He has been a two-year starter at running back. Zacchaeus is capable of running a 4.5 forty-yard dash and squatting 400 pounds.

When asked to describe his running style, he stated, "I'm a powerful north-south runner that has break away speed. I surprise people with my vision."

Brown is well aware that a sizeable percentage of the Panthers' roster is comprised of players from the state of Florida. He happens to know one player that recently signed a letter of intent with the Panthers.

"I know Tamarcus Porter pretty well. TJ just signed a letter with the Panthers. He's had a lot of great things to say about Pitt. We grew up together and it would be great to play with him."

"Hopefully I can visit Pitt in the future. I'm leaning to them but I'll look at some other schools as well. Academics and playing time are the key things I'll be looking for in a school."
