Sukay gets his official Pitt offer

Pittsburgh held its first junior day of the year and they handed out a few scholarship offers. Nick Sukay has been piling up offers left and right and tonight he added another.

Nick Sukay is a talented 6-2, 195 pound, wide receiver from Greensburg Central Catholic High in Greensburg, Pa., had been expecting an offer from the Panthers, but it was still a good feeling for him nonetheless.

"I had a great time at Pitt and coach (Dave) Wannstedt gave me my offer," Sukay said. "I got there and met with the coaches. I felt right at home there with the staff. That trip definitely exceeded my expectations."

According to Sukay one of the coaches who made headlines this week for staying in Pittsburgh is a big reason Sukay has moved the Panther's up on his list of favorites.

Coach Aubrey Hill and I have bonded pretty well and that means a lot to me," he said. "Pitt definitely moved up a good bit after tonight."

Next up for Sukay is a visit to see the Panthers big rival West Virginia on Monday.

"I'm going down to Morgantown on Monday when they play Pitt. I then have the Scout.com combine on Saturday and Penn State junior day on March 25th."

Penn State is another school that has been keeping in close contact with Sukay.

"I called coach (Tom) Bradley and we spoke for about a half hour the other day. He said he knows what they're going to do, but he couldn't go into detail about it, so I don't know if their going to offer or what their going to do."
