Pitt offers DeCicco

Pittsburgh held its Blue Chip junior day on Saturday, when it hosted between 20-30 prospects. The group included a number of the top players in Pennsylvania. One of them walked away with an offer.

Thomas Jefferson standout athlete Dom DeCicco attended Pittsburgh's Blue Chip day and left a very happy young man.

"Me and my father were eating lunch and coach (Bob) Junko told us to go meet with coach (Dave) Wannstedt," DeCicco said. "Wannstedt said they were offering me. he was sorry for the delay, but he said they had to figure out where I fit. I was very excited, I kind of knew they would, but it was still exciting."

Where to play him? That's a question a lot of schools have posed. He is being recruited as a tight end/wide receiver/linebacker/safety.

"Pitt told me they like me as an outside linebacker."

Just because the local school has offered, don't expect an early decision just yet.

"They are one of my favorites, but I want to check out all my options and look around."
