DeCicco has been a three year starter. He is capable of running a 4.6 forty-yard dash and bench pressing 300 pounds. Dom is capable of playing wide receiver, safety and linebacker on the next level.
"Pitt has told me that they like me at three positions: outside linebacker, tight end and wide receiver. I'm open to playing any of them, but I guess I prefer defense. There are still a lot of schools that like me in the secondary as well."
DeCicco indicated that he attend a few summer football camps. "My first camp will probably be this weekend at Ohio State," he said. "I guess I'll head to Pittsburgh for Pitt's camp and then attend camps at West Virginia and possibly Michigan. I have been to Pitt several times. I might just go and spend time with the coaches."
When asked to comment on the Panthers, Dom quickly replied, "I really like Pitt. They are in my top three. I like Pitt, Arizona State and Cincinnati. Coach (Dave) Wannstedt is great and I feel very comfortable with coaches. My father really likes the Panthers as well."
DeCicco's teammate Chris Drager (6-foot-4 inches, 230 pounds) is considered a highly talented tight end/defensive end. Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Stanford and Kent Sate are amongst the schools that have offered him a scholarship. Dom was quick to note his interest in the Panthers. "Pitt hasn't offered Chris yet. It would be great if they did. The two of us would highly consider going there together."
"My final decision will come down to the school I feel most comfortable at. I want a good environment and a school that will offer me a strong education. Eventually I want to major in business and discover what it would be like to be an entrepreneur."
"I want to make a decision before the end of summer. If I don't commit to a school by the end of summer, it won't be far into the season before I make a final decision. The Panthers remain at the top of my school list."
