MD Defensive End talks Pitt

The University of Pittsburgh is in the process of completing the Dave Wannstedt Football Camp. A myriad of talented prospects have visited Pittsburgh over the last week. One of the more talented prospects was defensive end Justin Young (6-foot-5 inches, 250 pounds) from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD.

"I had a good time at Pitt. It's a nice school and really different because they share their facilities with an NFL team," stated ultra athletic defensive end prospect Justin Young (6-foot-5 inches, 250 pounds).

Young currently holds scholarship offers from Pitt, Virginia, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Marshall and Temple. He claims that three additional school are "very close" to extending offers.

"I really liked Coach (Dave) Wannstedt. He's a straight forward guy that seems passionate about his job. He kept trying to coach me throughout the day. Coach would come over and give me tips on technique and things like that. He told me he would like to see me in a Panther uniform."

"Coach (Charlie) Partridge seemed like he would be a good guy to play for as well. I liked him a lot."

When asked about his strengths, he quickly replied, "I'm a leader on and off the field. I have great quickness for someone my size and great feet. I'm also into film study. I make it to point to know the guys I'm going up against."

"Right now I'm wide open. I really liked it at Pittsburgh but I want to be fair to myself and take a few more visits. Looking at my list of schools, the Panthers are unique in that they share their facilities with a professional team. I think that's a good thing. It gives you someone to look at and push yourself to be like them."

"I want to make a decision by the end of summer. Like I said, I'm wide open right now but I liked everything I saw at Pitt."
