"I still keep in touch with Nick Lotz. He's a former kicker from my high school that attended Pitt," stated Walker. "I know there's a new staff at Pitt but Nick has had great things to say about the school."
Walker received scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Louisville, LSU, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Indiana and Toledo. He connected on 43 of 45 extra points as a junior. Brandon successfully made 9 of 12 field goal attempts and averaged 37.2 yards on punts.
"I have been to all three schools several times. I have toured the facilities and met the coaches. At this point, it's going to be a gut decision for me," he said. "I would like to make my decision by the end of September. When I feel I'm ready to commit, I'll pull the trigger."
"I'm going to unofficially visit Pitt, Indiana and Louisville soon. I prefer to commit to a school then take my official visit."
Panthers assistant Curtis Bray has been his primary contact at Pitt. Brandon visited the Panthers a month ago and officially received his scholarship.
"I went to Pitt with my mother and we were given a thorough tour of everything. I want to major in business and we were able to learn a lot of about their business program. I was able to spent time with Coach Bray, Coach (Charlie) Partridge and Coach (Dave) Wannstedt."
"Playing time is important to me. Pitt and Indiana are recruiting me as a combo-kicker/punter. Louisville is primarily looking at me as a punter. I know I have a chance at early playing time with Pitt."
"I should have a decision within the next two to three weeks."
