"I'm starting to narrow things down. The three schools that standout out to me are Pitt, Boston College and Penn State," he said.
Moye was named All-Conference and All-League as a junior. He rushed for 1,131 yards on 131 carries and scored 17 touchdowns. Derek caught 24 passes for 536 yards and nine touchdowns.
"Three others school that I'm still thinking about are West Virginia, Michigan and Michigan State. I haven't set any official visits yet. At this point I would like to take a few after the season."
When asked to pontificate on his top three schools, Derek stated, "I like what Pitt has done this season. They look much better and I think Coach (Dave) Wannstedt has them on improving."
"Pitt has talent at wide receiver but they don't have anyone with my size. I think I could give the Panthers are larger target. Pitt is my hometown school and my family could watch me play if I stick close to Pittsburgh."
Moye was well aware that Pitt signed blue-chip quarterback Pat Bostick as well. "I think any wide receiver would look for a big time quarterback. If I go to Pitt I know Bostick will be there three to four years."
"Penn State still has a really young team and they play in front of 100,000 people. They have a great atmosphere up there. I have heard good things about Boston College. They say that Boston is beautiful and I would like to take a trip up there to check things out."
Scout.com ranks Moye a thee-star recruit. He's capable of running a 4.6 forty-yard dash.
"I'll have a better idea of where I want to go by the end of the season. The Panthers are one of my top choices right now."
