Florida DE raves about Pitt visit

The University of Pittsburgh is in the process of augmenting its team speed. Pitt hosted an outstanding defensive end prospect from Hialeah, FL over the weekend. Are the Panthers in good shape with this prospect? Read on for details.

"This was my first visit to Pittsburgh and I thought the city was beautiful," stated athletic defensive end prospect Adewale Ojomo (6-foot-4 inches, 218 pounds) from Hialeah Senior High School in Hialeah, FL. "I really enjoyed the visit. I thought things went very well."

Scout.com rates Ojomo a "four-star" defensive end. He's generally considered one of the top "speed rushers" in the state of Florida. Adewale is capable of running the forty-yard dash in 4.6 seconds.

"Greg Romeus was my host for the weekend. He was a good host. I got to meet most of the players and I felt comfortable with them. I got to spend time talking with H.B. Blades and that was great."

"We were able to see a lot of the facilities and most parts of the city. It turned out to be much nicer than I expected. The facilities they share with the Pittsburgh Steelers were amazing. I thought Heinz Field was nice as well."

Adewale finished his junior season with 40 tackles and 7 sacks. He has been a three-year starter for Hialeah High School. Pitt's wide receiver's coach Aubrey Hill has been his primary contact.

When asked about his thoughts on the Panthers, he stated, "They are one of my top choices after the visit. I'm really impressed with Pittsburgh after the visit. It exceeded my expectations. I thought the coaching staff was great. They seemed like very straight forward, down to earth guys."

Ojomo previously visited North Carolina State (9/22). He has another visit set on December 8th with the Miami Hurricanes. Adewale has scholarship offers from a number of quality football programs including Pitt, Ole Miss, Miami (FL), North Carolina State, Tennessee and West Virginia.

"They had a group of us there from Florida and all of us had a really nice time. I'm not ready to make a commitment yet. I need to get things sorted out and find the school that best fits me. Pittsburgh will be one of my top choices."
