Robinson names Pitt in final nine

Defensive tackle Nate Robinson, who has been offered by Pitt, has narrowed down his choices to a group of nine schools.

Irvington, N.J. standout defensive tackle Nate Robinson is starting to narrow things down. "I have it down to about eight or nine schools," he said. "Miami, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, North Carolina, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and either Tennessee or Kansas State. They have all offered me. They call came to visit the school in May and then they all called me at home."

Robinson, whose brother used to play basketball at the University of Georgia, said he does have one that stands out above the rest. "I'm loving Miami right now," he said. "They're definitely on top. I'm trying to get there in December for a visit. That's going to be my first official visit since they're the No. 1 team on my list. I also like Rutgers too because my sister went there and my parents would like to see me there but they said it's totally my decision and will be up to me. I love the coaches and I love the fans. It's only 15 minutes from where I stay. They're No. 2 on my list."

Robinson also talked about some other schools on the list. "Virginia Tech always has one of the top defenses," he said. "They put out good player and they said I would have a good chance of starting early. They're definitely one of my choices. Pittsburgh's pretty good too. They have a good reputation and I like the coach recruiting me. They were one of the first schools to offer and they're also a place I'll probably check out."
