Micah Rucker impressed by Pitt

At 6-foot-6 and 195 pounds, Estero, Fla. standout wide receiver Micah Rucker is perhaps the tallest wide receiver prospect in the state this season. With 4.6 speed, Rucker is coming off an impressive offseason that included a standout NIKE Camp performance, a strong spring, and then a good showing at Bishop & Dullighan's Skills Camp in July. With a 2.8 GPA and 810 SAT score, Rucker has five scholarship offers.

"Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and Clemson have," Rucker said. "I also had a lot of schools calling in the spring. Michigan State and Pittsburgh are my top two. Michigan State has a good football program, they pass the ball a lot, and they produce a lot of good wide receivers. Pittsburgh has a real nice facility that they share with the Steelers, plus they have a good coach and good tradition. I'll take some trips and then make a decision after the season.

"I'm also looking at schools like Michigan, Florida, Rutgers, Florida State and places like that."
