Warrant out for the arrest of former Pitt star

Jeff McCurley has been charged with two misdemeanors.

A warrant is out for the arrest of former Pitt star Jeff McCurley, who has been charged with forging a painkiller prescription.

McCurley is accused of attempting to illegally obtain Vicodin from a pharmacy in July.

Pennsylvania police said in a court affidavit that he took a prescription that was written out for Celebrex and erased that word, replacing it with Vicodin.

McCurley, 23, is currently in California where he is trying to make the roster of the San Francisco 49ers. He was a four year starter at Pitt from 1997-2000, first playing on the defensive line before moving to offense
