A Panther No More

In less than 24 hours the Pittsburgh Panthers added one of the best kickers in the country and lost a cornerback. Dave Wannstedt knows all about knee injuries, but even he has his breaking point.

According to sources close to the situation Greensburg Central-Catholic cornerback Chris Hayden-Martin is a Panther no more. Despite suffering an apparent season ending knee injury against Jeannette, the Pittsburgh Panthers were going to honor his scholarship.

Hayden-Martin then apparently informed the coaching staff that he wanted to look around and weigh his options. Obviously, after deciding to honor his scholarship and then hearing this the Panthers pulled the scholarship offer.

Hayden-Martin suffered the injury after being forced to the turf by a monsterous Terrelle Pryor stiff arm last Thursday night. Boston College is one of the teams that is still recruiting Hayden-Martin.

The Panthers have also added the services of Mento (Ohio) three-star kicker Kevin Harper who committed late Monday night.
