For the past three months those who know Cameron Saddler knew he was heading to Virginia to play for Al Groh. The hometown Pittsburgh Panthers put the full-court press on the Scout.com four-star and managed to get him to change his mind.
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway four-star athlete Cameron Saddler
has just committed to the Pittsburgh
Panthers. Saddler is currently holding a press conference to announce his decision to the media, however we received word from a source close to the situation that Saddler has informed the Pittsburgh staff that he is a Panther.
Al Groh and several members of his staff were in Monroeville this morning, but it was not enough to sway Saddler who at one time was a heavy lean to the Cavaliers.
"Back when I planned my announcement I was 98-percent sure I was going to Virginia," Saddler said. "Pitt did a great job recruiting me and they showed me that they really want me down there.
"Pitt is going to be very special in the near future and I am just excited to be part of it," Saddler said.
Scout.com will have more on this breaking story soon.
