Holley Enjoyed Pitt Visit

This weekend Jarred Holley traveled from Easton, Pa., to Pittsburgh for his first official visit and got to spend a lot of time out with the Panther crew, just having fun and taking a break from the everyday recruiting scene, something that he certainly enjoyed after hosting so many visitors over the past few weeks. We caught up with Holley on Sunday to discuss his Pitt visit.

Four-star cornerback Jarred Holley ventured out to Pittsburgh this weekend for his official visit with the Panthers and the 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete did not come away disappointed. While he currently may hold roughly 20-25 scholarship offers, Holley has already narrowed the field to a few schools of interest and it looks like Pittsburgh could be one of the frontrunners moving forward.

"The visit was really good and I had a lot of fun," Holley stated. "We went out to Dave and Buster's on Friday night and then Saturday night we hung out and watched the Mayweather vs. Hatton fight together. The recruits and players were all really cool and just made me feel extremely comfortable there."

"On Saturday we took a tour of the whole campus, saw Heinz Field and went through the facilities," Holley explained. "I talked with just about the entire staff over the weekend and met privately with Head Coach Dave Wannstedt too. He said he was just very happy that I took the time to come out to visit and that they really wanted me to come be part of the family there. I think that Coach Wannstedt is a good guy, is easy to talk to and is just someone that you want to be around."

Asked where the visit put the Panthers right now…

"I just really enjoyed myself a lot on the visit and it was nice to be around good people for an entire weekend."

Holley was recently visited by Coach Steve Szabo from Michigan, Coach Bob Price from Virginia, Coach Darrell Wilson from Iowa and Coach John McNulty from Rutgers.
