Brown Enjoys Pitt Trip

Dontae Brown made the short trip last weekend from Penn Hills to Pittsburgh with teammate Tom Fulton. The talented athelte came away even more impressed by the Panthers.

Pittsburgh landed one of the state of Pennsylvania's most versatile recruits just two classes ago with Moe Williams. The Panthers are on the prowl for a very similar type of player a little closer to home in Dontae Brown.

Brown, 6-5, 195-pounds, like Williams does a little bit of everything for the Penn Hills Indians from catching passes, throwing passes, running reverses, picking of passes or anything else that is asked of him.

Brown, is very interested in the Panthers and he came away impressed after his junior day visit.

"It was a lot of fun," Brown said. "I had a great time. (Dave) Wannstedt and (Bob) Junko talked to me and thanked me for coming. They are waiting to see my film. They want to keep an eye on me in the spring.

"The basketball game was great, except that they lost," Brown stated. "We walked in and everyone was cheering for us and they were chanting "13-9". Lucas Nix, Cameron Saddler and Jonathan Baldwin were all there."

Brown will be participating in the New Level Athletics/Scout.com passing camp at Akron on March 22-23 and at the Scout.com Combine on March 30 at UPMC.
