The Future Is Bright

This is going to be a busy month for Pitt football coach Dave Wannstedt and his staff with several camps on tap and recruiting picking up for the 2009 class.

The Panthers will hold camps for specialists June 12, top prospects June 13-14 (grades 9-12) and an Individual Camp June 15-17 (ages 12-18). The Big Man Challenge is June 20, and the Team Passing Camp (high schools) is June 20-21. There also will be camps for Little Panthers, ages 6-11, June 18-19 and 23-24.

Panther Digest will provide coverage from the camps, recruiting updates from Scout Regional Recruiting Manager Bob Lichtenfels, notes from the team's summer workouts and extensive reports from the promising 2008 Pittsburgh football season that begins with training camp in August. So, as Bob likes to say, buckle up and enjoy the ride. This should be Pitt's most exciting season in years. So, if you're not a Panther Digest subscriber, now's the time to get on board.
