Mason Names Leader

The Pittsburgh Panthers tabbed two local prospects as the linebackers whom were atop their wish list Dorian Bell and Dan Mason. Bell chose the Ohio State Buckeyes, but as we found out this weekend they are still very much in the game to land four-star prospect Dan Mason.

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills middle linebacker Dan Mason is a man of very few words. He often chooses to let his play speak for him and it speaks rather loudly. Scout.com caught up with the Scout.com four-star prospect after Pittsburgh's prospect camp.

Much to our surprise Mason decided that he now has a leader for his services and it is the hometown Pitt Panthers. He has made it clear from the beginning that he wanted to stay close to home and was focused mainly on Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

As you can see in this interview with Mason he did not hesitate to name a leader in the race for his services.

Mason camped at Pitt for two days straight a rarity for a player who already holds an offer from that school. It wasn't odd for Mason though. He just loves to compete and play football.
