LeSean McCoy, his brother and parents drove to Pittsburgh today to meet with Panthers coach Dave Wannstedt at the team's practice facility and met for nearly two hours.
The family was met by a small media group in the parking lot. McCoy and Wannstedt addressed the group. McCoy told them that he has not yet made up his mind after the lengthy discussion with Wannstedt.
Wannstedt noted that it was an emotional meeting between he and the McCoys, and the family will take the weekend to consider the decision.
"LeSean is an emotional kid, (and) this was an emotional meeting,'' Wannstedt told the Post-Gazette. "I know LeSean loves Pitt, and we talked about the pros and cons of the decision. Now, he's going to take the weekend to sleep on it, and we'll meet again on Monday.''
Several of McCoy's teammates were contacted for this story, and none spoke to him about his decision or knew what was going on with him since the team last gathered for the Sun Bowl. Thursday was the first team meeting since then, but McCoy did not attend it.
Pitt's classes started this week, but McCoy remained in Harrisburg after returning there following the Panthers' appearance in the Sun Bowl.
Underclassmen have until Thursday to declare for the NFL Draft.
