Pitt Spring Football Photos I

The Pitt football team held its first spring football practice Thursday afternoon at the UPMC Sports Complex, and Panther Digest was there in full force to report on the event and take photos.

Thankfully, my wife, senior correspondent Denise, was available and provided the following photos for the Pittsburgh Panthers:

Pat Bostick and Tino Sunseri with offensive graduate assistant coach Luke Getsy.

Junior cornerback Antwuan Reed appears to be in great shape as he tries to win a starting spot.

Bre' Ford, a 2011 recruit from Beth Park High School, attended Pitt's initial spring practice.

Pitt redshirt junior cornerback Buddy Jackson hopes to finally make a push for playing time this season.

Redshirt sophomore Cam Saddler displayed his blazing speed on several occasions during the opening spring practice.

Pitt 2010 recruit Andrew Carswell and 2011 prospect Deaysean Rippey from Sto-Rox High School got a view from the field.

Panthers' starting left offensive guard Chris Jacobson.

Associate head coach Greg Gattuso and the Pitt's massive defensive line.

Pitt secondary coach Jeff Hafley fine-tunes a few things with junior-college transfer cornerback Saheed Imoru.

Junior wideout Jon Baldwin (note the altered first name, as per his request) is an imposing sight for any defense.

Recruiting prospect Lafayette Pitts from Woodland Hills.

Redshirt freshmen offensive linemen Jack Lippert and Fernando Diaz.

Redshirt sophomore Mike Cruz gives Pitt's quarterbacks another receiving threat at tight end.
