Mangiro Visits Pitt

Angelo Mangiro is quite an imposing figure at 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds, but he looked just like a little kid while watching Pitt's football practice Thursday afternoon at the UPMC Sports Complex's indoor facility.

And if Pittsburgh continues to impress Angelo Mangiro, the offensive guard from Roxbury High School in Succasunna, N.J. could be playing for the Panthers in the near future.

"Yeah, it was good,'' Mangiro said. "I sat in on some offensive line meetings with Coach Wise, and I'm here watching practice. I'm going to tour the campus and academic facilities (Friday) and maybe Heinz Field.''

This was Mangiro's first visit to Pitt, which offered him a couple weeks ago. He also has offers from Boston College, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Rutgers.

Mangiro is expected to return to Pitt for its prospects camp this summer.
