Q&A with Brandon Barrett

Brandon Barrett is a 6-1 180lb. wide receiver from Martinsburg, WV. Brandon is an outstanding athlete who has been rated by Max Emfinger as one of the top 10 wide receivers in the country. Below is a brief question and answer session.

Barrett caught 71 passes 1,350 yards and 26 touchdowns during Martinsburg's 12-1 season that ended with a semifinal loss to Parkersburg South. On defense, he picked off 13 passes on defense, returning them for 271 yards and five touchdowns. He was in on 46 tackles and 10 pass defenses.

Brandon was also selected West Virginia's Gatorade Player of the Year. He has also been named 1st Team All-State as both a junior and sophomore, as well as 2nd Team All-State as a freshman.

Q: Do you play any other positions other than Wide Receiver?
Barrett:
I also play cornerback.

Q: What other sports do you play?
Barrett:
I play basketball also. Our team is 17-4 right now and in the regional playoffs (Triple A).

Q: What position do you play and what are you averaging per game?
Barrett:
I play point guard and I'm averaging 13.4 points per game.

Q: What school is your favorite right now and who else are you looking at?
Barrett:
Ohio State is my favorite right now. I'm also considering Pitt, WVU, and Penn State.

Q: Are you planning to visit any summer camps?
Barrett:
I'm sitting down now and trying to figure out which ones I might visit.

Q: Do you think you may verbal early somewhere or will you take all your visits?
Barrett:
I'll probably take my time to check everyone out first.
