Akron Buchtel's dual superstar prospects

I talked with Akron Buchtel coach Claude Brown today about his two superstar athletes, QB/CB Steven Walker and RB Antonio Pittman.

Steven Walker (5-10/175, 4.3 40-yard dash) is an outstanding two-way performer who is being recruited by all the top programs as a cornerback. Max Emfinger has rated Steven among the top 13 quarterback athletes in the country.

Steven was 94 of 163 for 1,801 yards passing with 15 TD's and 9 INT's. He also ran for 838 yards on 78 carries with 7 TD's.

Antonio Pittman (5-11/195) ran for 2,325 yards on 221 carries and 35 TD's. He has a 4.4 40-yard dash. He is an incredible athlete with speed and power. His build is all muscle and his transition to the next level should be an easy one. He's at his best in big games.

As a junior, Antonio rushed for 192 yards and a career-high 5 touchdowns as Akron Buchtel beat Akron Garfield, 49-27, to clinch the Akron City Series title and complete a 10-0 regular season.

Coach Brown stated that both players were All-League, All-County, and All-Northeastern, and named 2nd team All-Ohio; and added that they are standout track performers. He also said that both will attend summer camps at Pitt and Michigan. Coach Brown said at this time both players are open on their list of schools; there are no leading candidates at this time.
