Hodge Checks Out Two

College coaches are going to be visiting Archbishop Carroll in Washington DC over the next couple of years. There are a number of talented prospects that are expected to get college interest including linebacker Selton Hodge.

Selton Hodge is a 6-2, 210 prospect that is trying to determine whether he will play linebacker or defensive end at the next level. Based on his current size right now, he figures to be an outside linebacker. Last season, as a sophomore, Hodge made 72 stops with two forced fumbles and two interceptions from his outside linebacker position.

"I feel comfortable playing both, but in a 4-3, I think it would be defensive end or linebacker," Hodge said. "It could actually be a linebacker in both (a 3-4 or 4-3)."

Hodge has attended camps at Pittsburgh, Virginia, Lafayette and Villanova. Pitt was the first camp he attended.

"I feel that I did good there," Hodge said. "I went there as a linebacker and a defensive end. The linebacker coach there said I did good, and I think it will help. They called my coach, so we'll see."

His favorite part of the Pittsburgh trip?

"I liked the facility," Hodge said. "The facility, and I liked the locker room and the weight room."

He was also at Virginia's camp just last week.

"At the Virginia camp, I did real good there," Hodge said. "I went there as a defensive end, and the coaches said I did good. The coach there said to call him, since they can't call me until September."

Hodge also has an unofficial visit to Maryland planned. Outside of that, he is unsure what schools he will get back to for games or unofficial visits.
