Worst - Arizona game. Still hurts
2nd worst - Marvin going down vs Memphis St. I was six and hadn't even heard of Providence, but that is one painful story to hear
3rd worst- Notre Dame; at a sold out Saturday afternoon at the Dunk maybe ten years ago. We were poised to be ranked and relevant and celebrate. Crowd was juiced pre-game. The Irish pasted us from start to finish and made it obvious the Friars were not ready for Primetime
the only reason i'm pretty sure the 3rd game you're talking about is pittsburgh 2004 is because i sold "beat pitt" shirts and the program floundered for the next decade following that game.
Pitt wasn't a Saturday afternoon, it was a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
Could the Notre Dame game have been in Keno's first year? If so, I remember it well. They were known for shooting 3's, and hit like 12 of them in the 1st half against us to go up like 52-39 or something. And it wasn't like they were hitting tough, contested shots, they were wide open time and time again.
I was so pissed off I decided I wasn't going to the next game....you know, the one against #1 Pitt 3 days later. Yeah, that game.
