Honors - Named All-State in 2002.

Comments - Jordan Grimes is a two-way standout for Plainfield and was named all-state by the Indiana Coaches Association as well as the Bloomington Herald-Times.

Grimes ended his recruitment early by giving the Purdue Boilermakers his verbal commitment.

"I've been a Purdue fan since I was a little kid," said Jordan Grimes.

"It's always been a dream of mine to play for Purdue. I visited Purdue and got along very well with all the guys on the team and felt very comfortable with them and the school.

"My commitment is solid. I won't be looking around. Indiana offered me a scholarship. Michigan State, Boston College and Nebraska were all very serious about me and I received a lot of correspondence from Notre Dame.

"Everything has pretty much faded now that I've committed to Purdue."

Grimes plays on both sides of the bal at the high school level but will play on the offensive line for the Boilermakers at a guard position.
