Jones and Wilbon Visit Purdue

Chicago De La Salle (Ill.) juniors Jamarco Jones and Mikale Wilbon take a trip together. Are they looking to stay together in college?

Chicago De La Salle has a good group of juniors lead by offensive tackle Jamarco Jones and running back Mikale Wilbon. Both have accumulated their share of scholarship offers, and visited a school they share a mutual offer with, Purdue, on Saturday.

"It went pretty good," Jones said. "I didn't get to speak with the coaches though."

As for Wilbon, he said, "It was okay. The band was nicest out of all. They were excited for me to come and said I should visit again."

Wilbon says he may visit Illinois this weekend. The two Windy City stars say the next joint visit they take will likely be Ohio State on November 24th for their game against Michigan.

The 6'5, 290-lb Jones has additional offers from the Buckeyes, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Illinois and others. Wilbon, 5'9, 195-lbs, has offers from Iowa and Illinois as well.

Currently, they share three common offers, and Jones says he would love to continue to block for the speedy Wilbon come college.

"We are looking for a lot of the same things in schools and are getting recruited by the same schools, so it's possible."
