"4 star ATH and 5 star young man Eddie Jackson III will be attending the and playing football for Alabama! #Bama," the Boyd Anderson twitter account posted promptly at 8 a.m. EST.
A two-way standout at Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson High School, Jackson can play either side of the ball at the next level with his combination of size and speed. But at Alabama, he says he will land in the secondary in all likelihood, with the option to play either cornerback or safety entering his freshman season.
As for why the 6-foot, 180-pound three-star chose the Crimson Tide...
"Because of the caches, the players and the community," he admitted after visiting Tuscaloosa earlier this month. "I love it."
Here's a look at the newest member of Alabama's class of 2013 in action.
Jackson is ranked as the No. 48 wide receiver in the class of 2013 on FOX Sports NEXT/Scout.com.
