With so many schools in the mix, Kief is far from making his verbal commitment. For now, a list of favorites is still in the works.
"I'm undecided on who's at the top, because I have to make more visits this summer," said Kief. "But the schools that I've visited, I've liked a lot."
This spring, the 6-foot-5 wideout visited Alabama, Kentucky, Northwestern and Ohio State. Looking ahead to the summer, he has plans to stop at Arkansas, Louisville, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, among others.
"It was just cool to see how the college teams practice, see how the practices are run, and to meet all the coaches and see their abilities," said Kief of his visits.
While Kief has a long list of suitors recruiting him, his contact with Purdue has been minimal. West Lafayette is just a short drive from his hometown of Cincinnati. Kief is hoping to learn more about the Boilermakers.
"I haven't heard much from them, and I don't know much about them, but it's not too far from where I live," he said of Purdue. "If they did start talking to me, I'd put them in consideration."
Kief remains active in the recruiting process, still searching for ‘the best overall fit' for him. The next step for his recruitment will be summer visits. In the meantime, he's working hard for his senior season.
"I'm just trying to maximize my potential and get as good as I can," he said. "I want to show off for my senior year."
