Position: Shooting Guard
School: North Central (Ind.)
Height, Weight: 6-foot-2, 175 lbs.
Bio—He's just a freshman, so for now, Eron Gordon will be known as Eric Gordon's little brother. That will change over time. The standout guard for Indianapolis North Central High School began to make a name for himself during his first season of high school ball, and is now taking that to the AAU circuit. Gordon, the 6-foot-2 guard, is playing on the team his brother sponsors, the Eric Gordon All-Stars, working up a level already. The team is very much built around Gordon's game and he'll be the go-to shooter. College coaches will get a good look at Gordon throughout this summer.
Quote to note— "It not too different, because it is all I know. It is a little different than some kids because you get a lot of attention and everything." –Eron Gordon, on dealing with pressure.
Scouting Report— There are a lot of positives to Eron Gordon's game, and it will be fun to see the finished product. While the freshman is raw in some aspects of his game, he undoubtedly has the abilities to become a complete player. Gordon can score inside and out while he also shows abilities as a floor leader. He's quick and aggressive with his movements and plays with a high energy.
Recruiting Outlook— It's far too early to forecast where Eron Gordon will end up, but it's quite evident he's about to blow up. The two local schools—Indiana and Purdue—have jumped in already, as have Arizona State (Gordon's brother, Evan, players there) and Nebraska. After this AAU circuit, Gordon will likely have several other offers under his belt, and could gain many more as his recruitment picks up. Eric Gordon was quite the commodity as a recruit, and little brother may follow in his footsteps.
