Webster named Big Ten Punter of the Year

Purdue punter Cody Webster was named the Big Ten Eddleman-Field Punter of the Year.

The legend of Cody Webster continues to grow. The Ray Guy Award finalist and Purdue fan favorite was named the Big Ten Eddleman-Field Punter of the Year.

Webster had 70 punt attempts on the season, with 17 traveling more than 50 yards and two traveling 73 yards. He finished the regular season first in the Big Ten in punting average.

Webster is one of three finalists for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation's top punter. He is largely considered the favorite to win.

Purdue's Ricardo Allen was tabbed second-team All-Big Ten by the conference media and honorable mention by the coaches. In addition, Rob Henry was named Purdue's Sportmanship Award honoree.
