Roberts is the latest Purdue pledge

Brandon Roberts made it three verbal commitments in four days.

Another pledge is in for Purdue. Three-star cornerback Brandon Roberts gave the Boilermakers his verbal commitment, just days after a weekend official visit.

Roberts, a 5-foot-11 170-pound prospect from Valdosa, Ga., is Purdue's third commitment in four days, joining JaWhaun Bentley and Keiwon Jones. More are expected to come this week, too.

The Boilermakers beat out Washington State and Western Kentucky for Roberts' services. Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville and West Virginia were also showing interest.

Roberts is rated a three-star prospect and the nation's 57th-best cornerback. The Lowndes (Ga.) High School product is Purdue's second Georgia commit, joining receiver Gregory Phillips.

Boiler Sports Report hopes to have Roberts' reaction added to a full story.
