Purdue adds JUCO tackle for 2014 class

The Boilermakers brought in an important addition on the offensive line, adding JUCO tackle David Hedelin.

Purdue lost out on JUCO tackle Miguel Machado on Signing day, as he drifted off to Michigan State. What goes around comes around.

JUCO tackle David Hedelin, once committed to the Spartans' 2014 class, has signed with Purdue and will be immediately eligible for the 2014 season.

"We are really excited to add David as the 20th Boilermaker in the 2014 class," said Purdue coach Darrell Hazell in a statement to the media. "He is an extremely athletic big man who is college-ready."

Hedelin has spent two years at the City College of San Francisco and will be eligible at Purdue for two seasons. He is a native of Stockholm, Sweden.

Hedelin joins tackles Corey Clements and Bearooz Yacoobi in the Boilermakers' 2014 class, each of whom will be competing for two vacant spots at tackle. Hedelin stands at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds.

Boiler Sports Report will have more on the newest addition to Purdue's 2014 class, David Hedelin.
