Ike Dougherty is a four-year varsity starter for Columbus (East). Ike started out on the defensive side of the ball as a rush end but his main position the past two season has been tight end.

Dougherty was named first team all state as a junior. He caught 25 passes for 520 yards and 10 touchdowns and on the defensive side of the ball he made 67 tackles with nine sacks and three interceptions while scoring two defensive touchdowns.

Have any schools offered a scholarship?

"Ball State and Louisville. Those are the schools that have offered me a scholarship." Dougherty said. "I'm getting calls from a lot of schools. If I had to pick a top five, they would probably be Northwestern, Purdue, Northwestern, Penn State and Louisville."

Is there a leader right now?

"I'd have to say that Northwestern would be my leader right now. They have a good football program and the academics are top notch."

Dougherty is also a standout on the hardwood. He averages 15ppg for the basketball team. Ike doesn't have any official visits set yet. He carries a 3.7 GPA in the classroom and scored 1050 on his SAT.
