A Steal for the Boilers

Texas athlete Christian Caflisch could be the most underrated prospect in the country. Caflisch, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder, from Madison High in San Antonio, Texas, is verbally committed to Purdue and I know that Joe Tiller has to have a smile from ear to ear when he thinks of Caflisch's future in West Lafayette.

Christian Caflisch was chose to play for the West squad in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and he was definitely deserving of the honor and showed it on national television by just missing taking a kick-off back for a touchdown.

Caflisch, a quarterback, for most of his high school career, has very good speed, tremendous vision and he moves extremely well in space. His athleticism is the exact reason why he'll play another position at Purdue.

"I'm going to be playing wide receiver at Purdue," Caflisch said. "Coach Tiller talked about quarterback a little bit but I probably will end up playing wide receiver. I'm happy to be going to Purdue.

"I wasn't really looked at by a ton of schools. Purdue was my only scholarship offer. It's Big Ten football. Purdue runs a great offense and I'm anxious to get up there and get to work."

Want to see the future in West Lafayette? For those Boilermaker fans who long for the days of John Standeford again, you're going to like what you see. Here are a few clips from Caflisch's senior season.
