Fincher camped at Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and Northwestern this summer. He also letters in basketball. Nick carries a 3.2 GPA and scored 25 on his ACT.
August 14, 2002 – Nick Fincher verbally commits.
"I committed to Purdue today." Fincher said. "The coaching at Purdue is what I really liked. Coach (Brock) Spack was recruiting me and I got along with him very well.
"Purdue was everything that I was looking for in a school. Northwestern finished second and Duke was also in there."
Nick Fincher is a Midwest "Top 100" prospect. Fincher isn't the only Michigan prospect that the Boilermaker coaching staff hope to sign in February.
Doug Van Dyke (Marshall), Chris Patrick (Ithica) and Jerome Jackson (Saginaw) are all highly touted prospects that Purdue would love to ink on signing day.
