Boilers Extend Two In-State Offers

Braxston Cave and Johnny Goodman are a couple of in-state prospects that got away from Purdue but the cupboard is far from bare in the Hoosier State. West Lafayett hosted a Nike Camp this past weekend and Joe Tiller extened offers to a couple of in-state prospects.

Nelson Hurst, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound tight end, from Plainfield, Ind., received a scholarship offer from the Boilermakers as did Fishers (Hamilton Southeastern) linebacker Chris Carlino.

Carlino is a prospect that we featured last week on the Boiler Sports Report. This is Chris's first scholarship offer. He was an all-state selection as a junior.

Purdue is the second school to offer Hurst a scholarship. Mississippi State offered Nelson a scholarship last month.

Hurst had 29 receptions for 505 yards and on the defensive side of the ball Nelson had 71 tackles and 12 sacks.

Keep checking the Boiler Sports Report throughout the week for comments from Hurst and Carlino on their recent Purdue scholarship offers.
