Georgia QB Will Visit Purdue

A prospect Purdue has offered a scholarship to is Georgia quarterback Tyler Bass. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder, from Stockbridge high has several college options and the Big Ten could be in his future. Look inside to see the rest of the schools that have offered Bass a scholarship and when he plans on visiting West Lafayette.

"I plan on coming up to check out Purdue this month," Tyler Bass told the Boiler Sports Report.

"My mom and I are planning the trip and it will be before August 24th. We'll fly into Indianapolis and drive to Purdue from there. If I like it up there, I might go ahead and set up my official visit."

Which schools are at the top of Bass's wish list?

"I don't know right now," said Bass. "I mean Indiana, Purdue and Western Kentucky are all up there. I don't want to narrow anything down yet. Tulane and Southern Miss are both favorites.

"I'd like to wait and see how things go this year and who else offers me a scholarship before I start naming favorites."

Bass transferred to Stockbridge during the spring of his sophomore year and that move is what turned him into a D-1 quarterback prospect.

"I owe everything to my coaches at Stockbridge," Bass said. "I became a complete quarterback once I got over here. I learn something new about the position every day and I just keep after it and work hard."

Bass threw for 1,200 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2006. The dual-threat quarterback led a potent offense that averaged 30 points per game.

All of Bass's favorites have offered a scholarship. Tyler also claims offers from Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, Air Force, Toledo and Akron.
