Sanni Sorting Things Out

Supo Sanni, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound, safety, from Flossmoor (Ill.) Homewood-Flossmoor, is having a very good senior season. Sanni has several scholarship offers and he has begun to sort through those offers and official visits should start to come soon.

"I'm trying to get my official visits set up right now," Supo Sanni told "I'm looking at West Virginia, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Purdue and Louisville.

"I've been to Iowa State (9/14) on one official visit. I went there with my teammate (Russell Ellington) and had a very good time. Great atmosphere, energetic coaching staff and I could have the chance to play early."

Some see Sanni playing wide receiver at the next level, I've had the chance to see Supo in action this year and I loved him on the defensive side of the ball. He reminds me a lot of former Indianapolis (Warren Central) All-American Jerimy Finch.

Sanni is excellent in pass coverage and he fills the allies extremely well in run support. He hits hard and makes plays.

"I don't have any favorites right now. I'm going into this thinking everyone is equal. I want to take more official visits and I'll know where everyone stands after that.

"Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State and West Virginia are all having great seasons. Iowa is struggling a little bit but I love the coaches and program over there. I don't think I can go wrong with any of my favorite's right now.

"I'd like to get my visits taken care of and over with before the end of the season. I also play basketball and we have a pretty good team. I'm trying not to miss a lot of the basketball season."

Sanni has 42 solo tackles on the season. He also has a couple of interceptions and scored a game winning touchdown against Bolingbrook this year in overtime.
