Clancy Enjoys Purdue Visit

Nick Clancy, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound, linebacker from Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy, continues to be one of the most sought after prospects in the Land of Lincoln. Clancy has double digit scholarship offers and he took his first official visit this past weekend at Purdue.

"Nick had a great time this past weekend," said Mike Clancy, the father of Nick Clancy. "They fed him well, he had a great time at the game and hung out with a lot of the players on Saturday night.

"There's a great atmosphere at Purdue games. My other son (Chris Clancy) plays at Ball State and they played at Purdue last year. It's tough for visiting teams to come in to Purdue and win."

Clancy didn't give the Boilers his verbal commitment but Joe Tiller went down swinging.

"We met with Coach Tiller on Sunday as a family," Mr. Clancy said. "Coach Tiller asked Nick if he was ready to be a Boilermaker.

"Nick handled it well. He thanked Coach Tiller for a great visit but told him that he still wanted to take a few more visits."

Clancy doesn't have anything set up yet but it looks like he'll be visiting Boston College, Vanderbilt and Colorado in the near future.
