Sleeper QB Commits to Purdue

The Boilermakers received a surprise verbal commitment this past weekend from Caleb Terbush, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound, quarterback, from Metamora (Ill.) High School.

To say Caleb Terbush was under the radar would be an understatement, his only scholarship offer was Purdue and the Boilers were the only school in contact with him.

"I attended Purdue's quarterback camp over the summer," Caleb Terbush told the Boiler Sports Report.

"I wasn't offered at camp but the Purdue coaches stayed in contact with me. I attended a few games this year including the Notre Dame Game.

"This past Saturday after the (Notre Dame) game, I was told that Coach Tiller wanted to see me in his office and he offered me a scholarship.

"I jumped on the offer and committed right away. Purdue is a great school, the football program is very good and they pass the ball which is a quarterbacks dream. I couldn't be any happier right now.

"I didn't have any other scholarship offers and Purdue was the only school recruiting me. They see something in me and Coach Zaunbrecher told me that he can't wait to get me on campus.

"All the hard work has paid off and I can't wait to show everyone what I can do and what I'm made of."

Metamora is 6-0 this year and host Bartonville (Limestone) this weekend. We hope to get comments from Metamora coach Pat Ryan later today.
