Florid RB Talks Recruiting with the B.S.R.

Jeff Brinson, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound, running back, from Saint Petersburg (Fla.) Northeast, has a scholarship offer from Purdue and several other schools. The Boiler Sports Report interviewed Brinson and he gave us the 411 on his offers, favorites, official visits and more.

"I have scholarship offers from Purdue, Iowa, Michigan State, South Florida, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest and Oregon State," Jeff Brinson said.

"Purdue was one of the first schools to offer me a scholarship and I like them a lot right now.

"Purdue is having a great season and they'll bounce back from losing this past Saturday.

"I don't have any official visits set up yet. I plan on getting that process going after the season.

"I still haven't eliminated anyone yet. I have a lot of good offers and I want to take me time and not rush the process.

"South Florida is an up and coming program, Cincinnati and Purdue are both outstanding programs as well. Wake Forest is up and coming.

"Oklahoma State has great coaches, Iowa has great fans. I don't think I can go wrong right now but I need to take some visits and sort things out."

Brinson told us that he rushed for 1,200 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior. So far in 2007, he has 1,182 yards and 17 touchdowns.
