Illinois TE Looking Around

Regi Miskel, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound, tight end, from Naperville (Ill.) Nequa Valley, is an emerging senior in the Land of Lincoln. Miskel received playing time on the varsity as a sophomore and became a full-time starter his junior season.

"We finished with a 7-4 record this year," Regi Miskel told Scout.com

"I started every game at tight end this year and was named all-conference. My freshman year I was moved up to the sophomore team. I was moved to the varsity as a sophomore year but I ended up rupturing my MCL and I didn't play at all.

"My junior year I played both ways at defensive end and tight end. This past season I was strictly a tight end."

Which schools have been in contact with Miskel?

"Southern Illinois, New Mexico, Central Michigan and few other schools have been writing. I've been to some games on unofficial visits.

"I'd like to hear from Illinois, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Iowa State and Colorado. I'm having my highlight tape made right now. Hopefully I'll be able to take some visits and play college football."

Miskel carries a 2.9 GPA in the classroom and scored 19 on his ACT.
