With their 2009 class starting to take shape, Purdue has turned some of their efforts to the 2010 class. Just yesterday, the Boilers offered one of the top athletes in the class.
Inkster (Mich.) junior quarterback Devin Gardner
let Scout.com in on some news last night.
"Purdue offered me," he reported.
The 6'4, 196-lb Gardner now has ten offers as the Boilermakers join Bowling Green, Toledo, Central Michigan, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Cincinnati.
So far this season, Gardner, who had been considered more of an athlete, has been beating teams with his arm. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes and run for four.
He also has already taken unofficial visits to Michigan and Notre Dame. We will catch up with him soon to see if West Lafayette will be added to his list of destinations.
