Q & A: 2010 Commit Terone Johnson

The next in the Q & A session is 2010 hardwood commit Terone Johnson. Read on to hear all of his thoughts.

BSR: You've committed to the Boilers, and you'll be here in 2010. What were a few reasons as to why you chose Purdue?

Terone Johnson: I like the program a lot. I like the direction that they're going in, and they have a great coaching staff. And it's close to home.

BSR: Is being close to home what really sold you on the program? How did your family react?

Terone: I want my mom to be able to come see me, so that's pretty good, and she's happy about that too.

BSR: The chemistry all of the future Boilers is almost astounding. What's that going to be like for you when you finally arrive on campus officially?

Terone: That's going to be good. We're going to have a lot of fun. I played with DJ Byrd and Kelsey Barlow, and we'll have a lot of chemistry. I'm pretty close with Kelsey, we're really good friends. Our parents are really good friends too.

BSR: So far, Coach Painters squad has shown that it belongs in the top tier of college basketball powers. What's that like for you, knowing you'll be on the team soon?

Terone: I think it's going really good. I like to see them beat more ranked teams like they beat Davidson. I think they're playing really well and I like that.

BSR: Have you made it up for a game this season? If you have, what was it, and what was it like for you?

Terone: I went to the Duke game. It just shows how dedicated the fans are and how dedicated to the game they are. Even though they lost, they were still there and supporting the team. I liked the atmosphere.
