A prospect to keep an eye on in 2003 is 6-foot-3, 180-pound, quarterback Britt Davis.
Davis preps at Riverside-Brookfield High School in Riverside, Illinois. He threw for 3,000 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior.
"Britt is mentally and emotionally tough," said Bulldog head coach, Otto Zeman.
"He's the type of kid that doesn't let a bad pass or bad play bother him. He comes right back and continues to work hard and make plays.
"What separates Britt from other quarterbacks is his speed. He has a strong arm but he has legit 4.6 speed. I feel he's as good as any quarterback in the state of Illinois."
Which schools are in the hunt for Britt Davis?
"Northern Illinois has offered me a scholarship," Davis said. "I like the Big Ten schools. I'm hearing from Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Purdue."
Davis was named 1st team all-area and 1st team all-area in 2002.
