Video: Woodlands WR Randy Knust

Looking to add to a unit depleted by the NFL Draft, Rice is targeting several top pass catchers for its 2010 Recruiting Class. The Woodlands' Randy Knust is a prime target...

The Rice Owls had two Receivers go in the 5th Round of the NFL Draft a couple of weeks ago. That notoriety and a high powered Spread Offense are very inviting features to playing Receiver on South Main.

Add to that, 3 graduating seniors entering their final campaigns in the 2009 season and the option for early playing time factors the appeal even higher.

North Houston is drawing the attention of college recruiters across the country. With recruits like Kevin Johnson at Cy-Ridge and Jordan Leslie at Tomball, coaches have plenty of reason to visit the area.

Another is Randy Knust at The Woodlands.

Knust, is a tall (6-3) target with good hands and 4.5 speed. Last year he caught 16 passes for 460 yards; for an amazing 29 yards per catch average!

Knust attended Rice's Junior Day in March and is very near an offer from the hometown Owls.

Here are highlights of this exciting prospect from his junior season...
